Children’s party tours can be arranged at the caves, we would recommend that tour parties are for 8th birthdays and above.

Your children, and accompanying adults, can hear some spooky stories and maybe explore a few low tunnels during your own 45 minutes private tour of the Caves.

If you wish, the children can enjoy a meal in the cave function room with a hot or cold buffet provided by the Caves café.

Parties can be booked for weekends or school holidays and you will need to book a time slot:

Package 1 Parties – Birthday Cave Tour with Food
Available times to go into the caves are 11.15am or 2.15pm.

Package 2 Parties – Birthday Cave Tour
Available times to go into the caves are 10.15am, 12.15pm, 1.15pm or 3.15pm

You would need to ensure your party guests are at the Caves at least fifteen minutes before your tour is due, as it is not possible for late arrivals to join a tour that has already left.

DEPOSIT – Once all the arrangements have been agreed you will be asked to pay a deposit, the deposit amount will be confirmed dependent on what package you book and will confirm your booking.

The final balance payment for your party booking must be received 1 week prior to the party.

Party food can be provided by the Caves café and hot or cold buffets are available. If you have any questions in relation to the party food catering or allergy concerns, the catering manager Nick would be happy to discuss any questions or concerns. The Cave café contact number is 020 8467 3264.

Platters for Adults – If you would like to provide a platter of food or refreshments for adults accompanying children to a party please do not hesitate to talk to Nick the catering manager who can confirm the cost dependent on your request.

Can I bring more children?
More children can join the parties private tour, but if the caves are providing catering for your party we request 1 weeks’ notice

What if I need to cancel my party?
The deposit is non-refundable; however, we would be able to transfer the deposit towards a rearranged date within a year of the initial booking.

What do I need to bring?
We provide plates, cutlery and napkins for your buffet. All you need to bring is a birthday cake and candles!

Can I bring my own food?
We cater for children and for adults. Other than your birthday cake, your own food is not allowed to be brought to the caves.

Do you cater for special dietary requests?

When should I arrive for a party?
15 minutes prior to your party. Your guests will be able to wait in the reception area.

When is the birthday child given their cake?
We light the candles on the cake so you can sing happy birthday after food is served.

Can we use sparkler candles on the birthday cake?
We ask that sparkler candles are not used on cakes and that only normal candles are used.

Can I come and view the party room before I book?
Yes! We can show you the function room when it is not occupied, please call the caves to arrange this.
